Three-Piece Buckle Belt

Step 1: Keep approx. 10cm (4”) at the front end of the strip, marked with a scratch awl. Then, measure 81cm (32”) or adjust according to the required waist size.

Step 2: Align the center of the Marking & Punching Guide with the center of the 81cm (32 inches) marking and mark 2 hole positions on both sides. Additionally, align the guide’s oblong hole with the first marking from Step 1 and mark 2 hole positions backward.

Step 3: Rotate the Punching Guide and center it on the oblong slot's center, then mark 2 more points backward. Use a Round Multi-Strap End template to draw a semicircle about 2cm (3/4”) before the marked points; this will be the cutting line.

Step 4: At the last hole position, place the belt tip hardware 5cm (2”) back, trace the outline of the hardware with a scratch awl. Remove the hardware and draw parallel lines about 2mm (1/16”) inward (deducting the thickness of the hardware). The inner lines are the final cutting lines.

Step 5: Cut along the semicircle line in Step 3 and the belt tip in Step 4 using a utility knife.

Step 6: Attach the #1 blade to the 4-in-1 Keen Edge Beveler and bevel along the sharp corners of the belt edge. Apply even burnishing gum to the edges and polish them with a wooden slicker. The leather edges will become smooth and polished after burnishing.

Step 7: Place a Poundo Board on the table. Lightly press the Oblong Punch on the oblong slot marking to confirm the hole position, then punch out the hole with a mallet. Use the screw post diameter to find the right size tube and punch out the hole marks from previous steps using a Rotary Punch, totaling 4 rivet holes and 5 belt holes.

Step 8: Use a Skiver to remove extra thickness off the fold of the belt. Repeat Step 6 to burnish the back and edges.

Step 9: Insert the belt tip hardware to the tip of the belt, mark the screw positions, and punch holes. Then install the hardware by tightening the screw.

Step 10: Insert the belt loop and buckle into the belt sequentially. Fold the buckle end, install the screw posts, and tighten. Project completed!
